Iggy May Take His Ball and Go Home
Michael Ignatieff may not run again as a Liberal if he doesn't win the leadership campaign.
"Depends who's leader," Ignatieff said yesterday when asked at a meeting with the Toronto Star editorial board if he would run for the party in the next election if he loses the leadership vote in early December.

Your credibility as a Liberal is only slightly better than Bob Rae's, so saying you're only here for the top job - although undoubtedly true - doesn't exactly paint you as a loyalist.
Yes, we know you worked on Trudeau's campaign, you've mentioned that several thousand times. It's the intervening 30 plus years that give us trouble.

But... Bob Rae said he would run as a Liberal, regardless of outcome. Does that place him higher on the "true Liberal" list than Ignatieff for you? :)
Is it me, or is anyone else sick of the get Iggy nonsense out there. Why would it be unusual for a candidate to reassess their future if they lose.
This is just stupid garbage from Linda Diebels campaign against Iggy and for Kennedy.
I can't believe he "overreaction" to this. The conservative blogging spys are probably having a hay day with the "inept" Liberal bloggers - they keep put their foot in their mouth, over and over and over again.
It's a big step to make the effort to run, especially with all the scrutiny out there - sure I'd reassess myself in the same shoes.
Maybe he would like to work with the Liberals in a different capacity?

This surprises no one. Opportunism is Iggy's middle name. Rae won't run either. Just like he couldn't be a Liberal member because he had children. Huh??? He's full of it. He only joined the Party to be PM. Neither one of them should be considered to lead this PArty.
SB please follow the program... Rae was busy doing public service work, took a break to do private service work to help put three daughters through college, and is back looking to do more. The guy's all about integrity -- question his ability as leader (although he's the one most consistently sounding leader-like) but don't go on your acid-trips online.
Ignatieff is his own worse enemy. An egg-head with Three Stooges' cliff notes for political instruction. If I was into conspiracy theories, i'd think the dude behind the Stop Iggy campaign, wearing the Guy Fawkes mask, is Iggy himself!
Uh, no this doesn't say he's only interested in being a Liberal if he's the leader, it says some of these candidates he wouldn't think are right for it and wouldn't be behind fully.
